The head of a Slow Worm, shot in a pet shop, out of it's tank,
and against a piece of grey card that I had with me.
The flash was off the camera to avoid a hard shadow behind the
head, and the film was Ilford XP1 - now called XP2 in improved
form.
This film is based on colour print technology and results in a
colour dye image. The film is very versatile, allowing quite high
degrees of over or under exposure resulting in good prints.
That makes such a material very useful for mono work where
exposure can be doubtful.
